Tobacco Cessation Counseling
Counseling will be conducted by a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist who will utilize strategies of counseling that have been found to be helpful in promoting behavior change, such as smoking cessation, and will explore interventions for tobacco dependence.

Description:
Staff who are trained and certified by the Johnson Institute, work with alcoholics, addicts, and their family and support system with the goal of helping the alcoholic/addict understand the nature of the disease, and to seek treatment.

Hunterdon Prevention Resources has been dedicated to promoting health and wellness for over 36 years in Hunterdon County. It is this mission that drives us to a standard of excellence to best serve each client.
HPR is a licensed treatment facility by the Division of Addiction Services, State of New Jersey. We have a staff of fully trained and certified professionals who specialize in adolescents, adults, anger management, body image, self injury, and drug and alcohol education.
HPR is a licensed adult outpatient treatment program that subscribes to the 12 Step Philosophy. We firmly believe in individualized treatment and a continuum of care. Our licensed and certified staff have specialized training to assist clients throughout the stages of recovery.
There are two Tobacco Treatment Specialists on staff who have been trained by UMDNJ School of Public Health to address tobacco dependence, the recovery process and provide support.
