This program provides real world advice on how to prevent, recognize and discourage invasive use of internet sites like Facebook, and MySpace. A must for today's technology driven home.
What's In Your Medicine Cabinet?
Description:
Prescription and over-the-counter medications are fast becoming the new "party" drugs for many teenagers. Teens are "shopping" medicine cabinets in their home or in homes of their friends. Vicodin, OxyContin, and Ritalin are popular choices in neighborhood "pharm" parties. Help reverse the trend by educating students about the hazardous of this type of drug use.
Tobacco Jeopardy
Description:
This program provides a comprehensive overview of the drug tobacco. Students will be able to recognize that tobacco is an extremely addictive ad dangerous substance that causes serious damage to many areas of the body for smoker and nonsmokers alike. Jeopardy is a highly interactive program that helps students realize that smoking is an unattractive habit. It positions students to look at the tobacco industry as advertisers with the power to "hook" new smokers. Visual tools are used to heighten awareness.
Suicide Prevention
Description:
One of Hunterdon County's least promising facts: we have one of New Jersey's highest rates of suicide in young people. Take a proactive approach by helping students recognize the warning signs. Learn about the link between addiction and suicide. This is everyone's problem. Real life stories give students some perspective and lay a foundation for them to become part of the solution.

Marijuana Reality Check
Description:
This is the drug that doesn't go away and is still commonly available to students. Lessons in the course deal with the consequences of marijuana, myths surrounding its use, and ways for young people to practice refusal and decision-making skills. The program uses video, cooperative learning, and the environmental approach to change community norms through the use of a media campaign.
Heroin: "The Real Deal"
Description:
Heroin represents the most significant narcotic problem in New Jersey and accounts for more admissions to state treatment centers than cocaine, marijuana, and all narcotics combined. "The Real Deal" class provides education on the addiction process, while gaining insight into the use of heroin and how it affects the body.

Ecstasy and Club Drugs
Clubs and raves attract groups of teenagers and young adults into a social atmosphere filled with music, light shows, and drugs. Often promoted as 'alcohol free', these parties attract a large following of students and organized drug dealers. The most popular club drug in New Jersey is ecstasy; a drug that can lead to serious mental and physical problems, and even death. This session provides a comprehensive overview of club drugs including ecstasy, GHB, ketamine, rohypnol, and LSD. A skit is performed using a student volunteer to visually demonstrate the potential consequences of club drug use. A video produced by the New Jersey Drug Enforcement Agency is also shown.

Drug Overview
This session provide a comprehensive overview of drugs including alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, inhalants, heroin, club drugs, cocaine, ecstasy, and LSD. Students are given factual information and provided and opportunity to see the advantage of making healthy choices.

Diversity Training
Description:
In a world that is becoming increasingly more complex due to ethnic and cultural differences, educating our youth to embrace diversity can only lead to positive outcomes for the students and our community. This program is an activity based training that uses various demonstrations to open students eyes to the diversity around them. While recognizing the different cultures and backgrounds, students will also see how similar values and beliefs are held. In addition, students become aware of stereotypes and negative attitudes they may inadvertently pick up.
Disability Awareness and Sensitivity Training
Description:
Developed to meet specific needs identified in Hunterdon County, this interactive session educates people from all backgrounds on the issues faced by people with disabilities. Areas covered are proper etiquette, communication, and needs identification. Activities are used to simulate common disabilities and give students the opportunity to relate. The training is designed to achieve an open dialog between all people in attendance, including those participants who have disabilities
